As 2006 comes to a close a wedding photographer is left wondering what will be hot in 2007. What new products will album companies come out with in 2007? What will be cutting edge in 2007 and beyond? Besides style of photography what will set you apart from the rest?
It seems lately that wedding photography is going high-tech and online. Online and portable multimedia seems to be the future of wedding photography.
Online slideshows are a cool way to highlight the day’s events, products like Showit Web does a great job at providing this service.
Home based DVD slideshow production is another offering, a DVD slideshow of highlights album layouts so clients can view them in all their glory over a large screen TV in there living rooms. Products by Photodex can be used to create stunning high quality DVD slideshows for brides. So what else is in store for 2007? That is still to be seen.

So we all know the old saying, “you get what you pay for”. The below images are from a forum that I have found and decided to post them here. Apparently this couple spent only 500 dollars on their wedding photos.
Now I truly feel sorry for this couple, nobody deserves this type of wedding photographs. The only advice I can give to this couple is if they hired a “Professional” photographer they should take him/her to court. In all honesty they were better of handing out disposable cameras to the guests.
I know in a lot of bridal forums they mention to brides that they should hire photography students, amateurs or someone they know that can take good pictures. Now this is some bad advice. You have to budget accordingly if photography means anything to you, a true photographer will capture your day in its beauty. When a potential wedding photographer quotes you 4, 5, 6 plus thousand dollars for photography, there is a reason for it. He or she is worth that much plain and simple. If you like a particular wedding photographers style that is located in your area and is a bit out of your price range, find a means on coming up with the money.
In conclusion wedding photography is NOT an expense but rather an investment. Your wedding photographs will be the only memory left five plus years from know, make it a beautiful memory. And yes the images all had red-eye so I had to resolve that issue and protect the innocent.
